ACTIVITY 1

1.Substitution reaction 4.Subtitution reaction

2.Addition reaction 5.Addition reaction

3.Substition reaction

1.Substitution reaction happens when one atom or group of atoms in a chemical is

replaced by another atom or group of atoms. While addition reaction occurs when
more reactants combine to make a product without losing any of the atoms that is
present in the reactants.

2.In an addition reaction, two reactants produce a single product, but in a

substitution reaction, two or more products are produced.

3.During an addition reaction, a chemical is added to the molecule across the double
bond. The alkene structure is created in place of the double bond or alkene
structure.

ACTIVITY 2

1.By creating water, the two reactants are able to bond. This is accomplished by
putting one NH2 hydrogen at one end of one reactant and an OH at the other end of
another.

2.Because the two reactants are of the same species, A is an intramolecular

condensation, whereas B is an intermolecular condensation.

3. By removing water, two reactants combined to create a single product.

4.It occurs when two molecules join together to produce a single molecule.

V.REFLECTION

I learned that addition reaction is the combination of two or more molecules in order
to form a large molecule. While substitute reaction involves the replacement of
atoms.

I realized that this lesson shows about the molecules form things that is needed in
our body.

I need more information about this lesson.
