You can see in the video above how community action
works in communities of Tacloban, Leyte affected
by Typhoon Yolanda in 2014. Different people are
involved in their psychosocial program through
sports-based activities. You can also notice that
their program has a goal to accomplish. They
capacitate individuals to utilize physical activities
such as sports game and later on contribute to
community resilient society.

What makes community engagement a very
rewarding experience is the amount of enthusiasm
coming from all participants. This means that
everyone in the community participates. You can
notice in the video that there is an active
participation between young individuals who are
provided with sports project and different
institutions which initiated the project in the
community.

It is a factor for community members to
engage in this type of activities especially
when they know that it will bring impact to
the community.

members should work hand in hand for the
success of community projects.

Being a citizen requires us to have
moral obligations with our
community to build a peaceful and
humane society. The implementation
of simple projects in our community
such as outreach programs for
underprivileged children, waste
segregation, etc., are actions that
