HOW DO I GET STARTED LIVELESSON®

WITH GLOBAL CLUBS?
1. View Pearson Online Classroom Content.
Most clubs include optional courses. To access
club courses, you should log into the online
classroom and click on your student home page.
In your list of courses, you will see courses for
the clubs in which you are enrolled.
2. Attend LiveLesson® sessions.
Most clubs meet regularly in LiveLesson
sessions. LiveLesson sessions are a great place
for students to meet people, share experiences,
and learn. You can find the LiveLesson room link
on the first page of the course and on the
Message Boards. Reminders for LiveLesson
sessions with the room link will also be sent out
in a WebMail message to enrolled students the
morning of the session.
SESSIONS
Most clubs offer LiveLesson sessions. They are
held on a regular basis, according to the club
schedule.
To find the LiveLesson schedule for each club,
please visit the Club Fliers section of the Global
Clubs & Activities website and select the club(s)
that interest you.
Please note: All times on calendars and
schedules are listed in Eastern Time (ET).
Families will need to adjust to their local time if
they are not attending sessions from the
Eastern Time Zone.

3. Connect with other students on the

Message Board.
Students can connect with students enrolled
in the same club through the Message Board.

HOW DO I GET CLUBS &
ACTIVITIES TO APPEAR ON
MY PLANNER?
You will need to add club LiveLesson
sessions to your planner as a repeating
event. They will not populate to your
calendar like your regular classes.
Please see these directions on how
to add events to your planner.
HOW DO I SHARE MY WORK?
If you create something that you would
like to share with other club members in
a LiveLesson session, submit it by
attaching it to a WebMail message to the
club WebMail box. Let the club teacher
know that you would like to share your
work in an upcoming LiveLesson session.

your transcript nor are they graded.

WHAT IMPORTANT DATES DO I NEED TO
KNOW FOR CLUBS & ACTIVITIES?

Club sign-up begins September 6, 2022.

LiveLesson sessions begin October 3, 2022.
We do NOT have LiveLesson sessions on the
following dates:
• November 11, 2022
• November 23 – November 25, 2022
• December 19 – December 30, 2022
• January 16, 2023
• February 20, 2023

The last day to sign up for Clubs is April 17, 2023.

THE LAST DATE FOR LIVELESSON SESSIONS IS

MAY 12, 2023.

CLUB EXPECTATIONS
Students are expected to follow Clubs & Activities Expectations in LiveLesson sessions, on
the Message Board, and in all other aspects of the clubs in which they are enrolled.
Please read the following document to learn more about what is expected from students.

HOW CAN I BE REMOVED FROM A CLUB?

To be removed from a club, the Caretaker should log into
the online classroom and select the student’s blue icon.
There, the Caretaker will see all your Data Views. The
Caretaker should select the Clubs & Activities Sign-Up Sheet
and scroll down to the list of clubs and activities. The
Caretaker should uncheck the clubs from which the student
will be removed, making sure to select the Save and Finish
buttons so the placement team can see the choices made.
Only Caretakers have permission to remove students from a
club. See more information here.

NOTE TO CARETAKERS: The submission of a student's original work serves as Caretaker

consent to allow the student to participate in Global Clubs & Activities at Connections
Academy or Pearson Online Academy, to have the work published or displayed (along with
the student’s first name and last initial) to any audience and in any print or digital medium,
including social media.
