Movement research

Our language reads left to right and movement feels more natural in that direction so the
direction of movement feels more natural in that direction.

Movement going left in film feels more un-natural so this is used to give the viewer feelings
of confusion.

The movement of the camera during filming is also important. For example, a fast moving
and shaky camera will give feelings of panic and urgency.

Fast pans of the camera make it seem like something has just been noticed and this can be
used to quickly draw attention to something.

Other camera movements can be very useful aswell such as handheld movement to make
things seem chaotic or focus pulls to change what is being focused on to make the audience
see something else.
