1. Does the study of philosophy benefits to mankind? If so, how?


Yes, it benefits us the intellectually, spiritually and morality. It help us to learn about the
origin of those ideas and concepts that are our common intellectual vocabulary. It help us to
learn how to think clearly and creatively about difficult, abstract problems and the critical
thinking skills.

2. What specific advantages can a teacher get if he/she consistently practice the process of
philosophical thinking?
The advantages can a teacher get if he/she consistently practice the process of philosophical
thinking is he teacher would be able to view and analyze from the perspective of their
students. Apart from understanding why students are behaving in a particular way. Teacher
would also be able to know how students perceive their action.

3. What was Paulo Friere’s contribution to education? How will you incorporate this in the new
learning modality?
Paulo Friere’s develop an approach to education that link the identification of issues to
positive action for change and development, his approach leads us to think about how we can
read the society around us.

4. From your own point of view, what is the purpose of education? Relate it to your personal
experience as a teacher and a student.
The purpose of education should be to provide meaningful learning opportunities to extend a
student’s knowledge, strengths and capabilities attained through their social environment to
empower them to embrace their future, where they feel confident and valued in society.
Education provides learning experience as a foundation for developing values, skills and
knowledge, allowing children to communicate and interact more effectively to become a
lifelong learners.

5. Discuss the educational goal of idealist education. How this will be applied in the present mode
learning.
In idealism , the main of education is to discover and develop each individual’s abilities and
full moral excellence in order to better serve society. Idealism promotes universal education in
that it helps in a child’s character development during their study periods.
