Get + Adjective : This structure shows the process of an action and it’s used to turn an adjective into a verb.
Red (adj)
To get red ( vb)
“ She got red when she saw everyone was looking at her”

English contractions are usually used in spoken English, but not in formal written English. However, written
English is becoming more informal (emails, notes to friends, etc.) and you will often see these forms in print.
