I have learned numerous lessons at my internship at Prasko’s Accounting Firm. I have learned that there

is no easy task in the accounting field. I also learned the importance of double checking your work, even

if means that you spend more time on the project. I have also learned the work never ends, it starts with

bookkeeping, payroll, financials, taxes and then notices. It is an endless cycle. The courses that helped

me through my internship is my Corp, Partnership, and Non-Profit tax class and Non-profit and

Government Accounting. That is what I worked with the most so I could learn or use what I learned as I

was preparing the tax returns. The courses that did not help with my internship is Senior Integrative

Seminar and my Spanish classes. I feel there should be a tax class offered. This class would be where you

would prepare taxes through a program. I also suggest a payroll class, this is such a huge process but

there are no classes offered. I can’t think of anytime during my internship that reflected my liberal arts

classes. I honestly like the liberal art classes. The classes I do not like are the ones that have you do your

goals etc. in life. I understand the importance of it in a younger person but as an adult class, we are really

only going back to school to further our education for a better paying job in realty of it all. Yes, I would

like to work for this employer the only down fall is she is an Enrolled Agent and I want to be a CPA.

Which means that I have to work under a CPA firm for a least a year.
