    Attachment Theory Learning Insight
    Attachment theory focuses on relationships and bonds (particularly long-term) between
    people, including those between a parent and child and between romantic partners. It is a
    psychological explanation for the emotional bonds and relationships between people. But it can
    also be applied to business.
    In Marketing, there is so called customer loyalty where basically, customers are so
    attached to that brand or company that they do not even try other products other than their
    preferred brand. They create attachment as they are being satisfied with their products and
    services offered. In human resource, there are employees who stay in the company for more than
    10 years as they created professional and friendly attachments with their colleagues and
    coworkers, they enjoy benefits and incentives that the company gives that they believe no
    organization can top those. Just like everyone else where they are so attached to their profession
    and craft to grow and create more developments for their own good.
    As a manager, you have to create and maintain a “professional” relationship amongst
    your team members to ensure that ideas and collaborations are rolling with each other, again for
    the benefit of competitiveness and leaderships.
    In conclusion, attachments should be healthy that it will give you freedom for creativity,
    growth, and partnership that will benefit you certainly. When attachments are draining that it
    affects the operations of your business such as stressful and toxic work environment, managers
    should have initiative to fix this and prevent impactful conflicts for the whole company.
