  Past Three year thesis projects or sites from the same
university will not be approved.

 Repetition of same thesis topics among students of the

General same batch shall not be allowed.

 Selection of any project should be supported by

feasibility study during the topic finalization

 Architectural
 The selected project shall have a minimum built up area
Design of 75000 sq.ft. and not exceed 150000 sq.ft.

 Master plan  In projects such as mass housing and hospitality

Project repetition of similar units must be limited to 30% of Total

built up area and total site area should not be more
than 50 acres.

 In cases of conservation/restoration projects the following parameters
has to be met :

 The selected project should have a minimum built up area

15,000sqft

 Relevance and historical value of the building .

Conservation  Contextual study includes built character or architectural elements

Project of the area.

 Documentation of the existing building in its actual condition .

 The final proposal should include additional construction that is not

less than 80% of the existing build up

 Final Built up area should be 60,000sqft.

 The proposed intervention should remain sensitive to the existing

built fabric

 In case of urban design projects or urban landscape the study area should
not be more than 100 acre with built up area not less than 60,000 sq.ft.
The following parameters has to be met:

 Regional study and analysis

Urban  Site study with urban mapping(urban layers) such as :

 Historic evolution ,Land use , Urban block figure ground ,Open spaces,

Design vegetation, Road network and traffic analysis ,walkability ,building

typology, building age ,building heights ,activity nodes and landmarks
Project ,building typology, infrastructure ,services and amenities ,topography
,morphology and architectural character ,cadastral mapping .

 Timeline and chronology of the site

 The project should remain sensitive to the existing context.

 Project feasibility with stakeholder analysis

 Synopsis discussion of topic proposals (Introduction, Aim, Objective, Scope,
Limitation, Feasibility, methodology)

 Date for Screening 1 : 20th Feb 2023

Initial Topic Form of submission: 3 TOPICS (1 ppt – project title and aim of the project)

Discussion
 Date for Screening 2 : 22th March 2023
Form of submission: 2 TOPICS ( 2 ppts with detailed synopsis- introduction,
aim, objective, methodology, need, scope, limitation (if any) and site
introduction (location, area, feasibility).
