I can manage!
When I was in junior high school, there was a time that my teacher
was going to have a class observation in her class, and we, as
students, had to report about the topics that we had learned in our
class. At the same time, it was the month of August, a month wherein
our whole family will gather to celebrate our late grandfather's death
anniversary. It was a very hectic schedule since I needed to prepare
for our report tomorrow and, at the same time, prepare things for my
late grandfather's death anniversary. But due to my time
management skills, I handled that situation very well. Because at that
moment, I prioritized the most important thing, which is our reporting
for tomorrow. Me and my classmates held a meeting after class. We
tried our best to work on our reporting as early as we could. Then,
around 3:00 pm, I immediately ran back to our home in order to
prepare things for my grandfather's celebration. Fortunately, I was
able to accomplish those two things without experiencing any
struggles with my time or schedule due to the proper “management”
that I had done at that time. As we can observe at that moment,
“proper management” of my time enables me to fix my schedule and
prioritize the most essential thing. Management assisted me at that
time to achieve certain goal and to accomplished two things.
Management became the way for me to organize or arrange my
schedules efficiently and to ensure that everything moves smoothly
and effectively. This same goes for the role of a manager; I, myself, is
the “manager” of that situation. I'm the one that enables myself to
process my schedule freely and accomplish those two things that I
should do. As we can observe on my situation, both “management”
and “manager” are very important in any type of situation, because
“management” is the process that will help us to attain our goals,
while the “manager” is the “processor” that will process a situation
to “commit” that goal.
