1. (a) It has often been argued that entrepreneurs are born and not made. Discuss and give
justifications of why you would support and refute this statement. [20 Marks]

(b) Discuss using relevant examples five misconceptions most of the populace have on
entrepreneurs. [10 Marks]

2. Mr. Watene has approached you and he wants to start a business. He is aware that you have
undergone a course on entrepreneurship. He is rather confused on the legal form to adopt.
Please advice him on the five main forms of business ownerships clearly stating at least one
advantage and one disadvantage of each. [20 Marks]

3. The Jua Kali sector is the backbone of the Kenyan economy. However, despite this great
contribution, the industry faces myriad of challenges. Discuss ten of these challenges.
[20 Marks]

4. Mr. Pambazuka is all set to start his business. He has approached you to be the Operations
Manager of his upcoming Car Wash business. During the course of the interview you
discover he does not have a business plan. What would you advise him? [20 Marks]
