Debaditya Chaudhury - a man of many talents, is the mastermind behind the conception of
Chowman.
A business management degree-holder from the prestigious IISWBM and a graduate in
Commerce from St. Xavier's College - Kolkata, Debaditya's excellent academic background,
coupled with his unparalleled versatility and foresight, all serve to make him one of most
successful entrepreneurs of the country.
Debaditya's other passion is music and he happens to be one of the founder members of the
leading Bangla rock band of Bengal, 'Lakkhichhara', incepted in 1999 which is still one of the
biggest names in the Bangla music scene.
An ardent globe-trotter and a foodie, he frequently writes about his travels to various places
and his experiences with food music, and culture. The wealth of experience he gathered from his
travels led
him to start Chowman in 2010, which has become one of the most popular chains of Chinese
restaurants in the city & beyond. Ever since its inception in August of 2010, the name of
Chowman has become synonymous with authentic Chinese.
With Chowman gaining immense popularity in Kolkata, Bangalore and now in Delhi, Debaditya
felt an urge to introduce the city to a variety of other culinary destinations. This gave birth to
Oudh 1590 & Chapter 2 which Debaditya started along with his brother Shiladitya, a widely
acclaimed PR visionary, foodie, musician and a wild life enthusiast.
All of Debaditya’s ventures received grand success securing his place amongst the most
esteemed restaurateurs in the country. Equipped with an extraordinary musical mind,
exceptional entrepreneurial mettle and unmatched business acumen, he is quite the all-rounder.
