In this challenge assignment, you use the wall or slab edge command to create a
parapet around the western 3rd floor slab. The parapet could be modeled using a
variety of differing methods. The parapet needs to have the following profile and
dimensions and must be joined and monolithic with the floor.

Before selecting a modeling process, you must consider the following

requirements:

• If the floor’s boundary sketch is changed will your parapet update?

• Can the parapet profile be easily edited, perhaps the height or thickness?
• Can the parapet host rebar?
• If the model is to be used for structural analysis, does your parapet have
an analytical model?
