1st Slide

-Good day to all of you, I am (Your Name), and I will be discussing about the laboratory experiment of
analysis of saliva.
-In my report, we will be discussing on how to test a particular substance that is present in our saliva.
2nd Slide
-the first substance that we’re going to test is the presence of glucose in Saliva, (read the instructions in
the PowerPoint)
-After you do all that, we’re now going to observe the color that will be found after the test is conducted,
this will show the concentration of the reducing sugar in our saliva, the hotter or darker the color of the
result will show how concentrated the reducing sugar is. As you can see in our observation.
- (Read the Observation)
-so that means that there’s a low concentration of reducing sugar in the saliva of the person that was
tested, in general, blue to blue-green or yellow-green is negative, yellowish to bright yellow is a moderate
positive, and bright orange is a very strong positive.
3rd Slide
-the second substance that we will test is the inorganic phosphate in saliva, so what we have to do is (read
the instructions)
-then observe the cloudy and formation in the result, and as we can see, there is a presence of inorganic
phosphate in the saliva of the tested person.
4th Slide
-For our third substance, we will be having the test in chloride that is in our saliva (read the instructions)
-When chloride ions are present at a concentration of less than 1 ppm, the test solution should not change
from its appearance before the test. When chloride ions are present at a concentration above about 1
ppm in the sample, a cloudy white precipitate will become visible. So, as we can see in our observation
(read the observation)
-It means that there is a presence of Chloride in the saliva of the person tested.
5th Slide
-So as we can see in the table, there is the different test that we have discussed, and what kind of agents
we should use in order to determine the presence of certain substances in our saliva, it also shows the
result and the conclusion of particular substances that we have tested in the saliva. That is all for my
report, if you have any questions regarding the topic please ask, thank you for listening.

Note: *There’s a possibility that they will be questioning on how to determine the result in Slide #2
*If they’ve ask how the result occurs, Ans: (It’s because this is how the certain agent should react if it has
mix with the substance that it was tested on)
