describes the impact bullying has on students. It goes on to discuss what the current

consequences are and how there needs to be way to prevent this issue from reoccurring.

The article also introduces reasons why students bully.

YouTube video describes what the constitution is. It plays as an introduction to the

constitution. It shows students who is in charge of making the laws we have set today.

YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB3zolACjuI. This YouTube video

explains to students the importance of having rules. The video shows rules that we have

in places like school or at home.

Javernick, E. (2012). What if everybody did that? Amazon Publishing. This book highlights the

importance of rules and laws. It shows what would happen if everybody did what they

weren’t supposed to/ allowed to do. This book shows students the difference rules/laws

make on our everyday lives.

YouTube video shows students the difference between rules and laws. It also explains the

similarities between the two. It shows the students examples of both and what would

happen if we did not have them enforced.

Maloof, T. (2017). James Madison and the making of the United States. Amazon Publishing.

This *biography* highlights who James Madison was. The book is for students and

teaches them the impact James Madison had on the United States. It goes on to describe

his place in writing the constitution.

Pegis, J. (2016). Why do we need rules and laws? Crabtree Classics. This *non-fiction book*

explains why we need rules and laws in our everyday lives. It describes what rules and

laws are and examples of both. It shows ways we are able to see them in our community.

Spilsburg, L. (2020). Rules and Responsibilities. Free Spirit Publishing. This *non-fiction

book* explains the rules and responsibilities we all must follow to be good citizens. This

book highlights rules we face in our everyday lives. It also explains our responsibilities as

citizens.

Spinelli, E. (2013). A poem for a bully. This *poem* was written by Eileen Spinelli. She wrote

this poem for a bully. The poem is meant to help us sympathize with the bullies. It is
meant to show the bullies that although they may have hurt us, we still wish them peace

and healing.

Stop Bullying (n.d.). Kb's First Day. StopBullying. Retrieved April 21, 2023, from

https://www.stopbullying.gov/kids. This *website* is a movement meant to stop

bullying. The website has useful information for adult, teens, and children. For the age

group this activity is meant for I went under the Kids tab. There you will find webisodes.

These are short website episodes. After each webisode you will find questions. After all

of those you will be able to learn what you should do in the case of being bullied,

witnessing someone being bullied, and/or if someone tells you they are being bullied.
