Activity 1

At any point of time have you approached an elder in your family or teacher asking for
guidance? If so, recall the incident and how was the experience?

I remember one time when I need the guidance of my parents about the biggest decision that I
have to face. I really wanted to put up my business when I was a child. Now that I have my
resources already, I am contemplating where to locate it and what business should I put up.
Since this is a serious matter, I seek the advice of my parents since they are expert to this
matter and know the market demands in our hometown than me. It was a nice experience
hearing their insights and feedback and how supportive are they with my decision. I must say
that they're a great help because my business is already 2 months operating.

Activity 2

When you were studying in College or even now,how did you decide what course to take and
what to specialize? Where you confused? Who counselled you or directed you?

Before I decided what to course to take, I took the advice from my uncle since I'm still
undecided way back then. I trusted my uncle that taking Accountancy will open a lot of
opportunities for me in the future. Also, it made me decide to finally take this course considering
the advice as well of my Highschool teacher. I believed he saw the potential in me that's why.

Activity 3

When you were an adolescent what were some of the problems you have faced in the personal
area. List them out. Share your experiences before if possible.

During my adolescent, one of the things or problems I've encountered that I can recall is the
pressure and burden I put to myself. I was an achiever and a grade conscious that I want things
to turn out according to my plans so I always make sure I always do best in every aspect. The
people around are just fine with what I can offer, it's just me who was thinking that I have to
meet their expectation and I have to do well in order to be on the top. Maybe that wasn't the
healthy competition that I held for myself which later on I realized that I shouldn't be too hard to
myself.
