PASIVE VOICE

The passive voice, as we have seen in other articles, is formed using a form of the verb to be
and a past participle.

The past participle is the third column of the list of irregular verbs, although for a regular verb it
is the same as the simple past.

We use the passive to put more emphasis on the complement, and to remove it from the subject.
We can use passive when the subject is obvious, unknown, or does not matter. The liability is
something more formal than the asset and is used more in written English.
Presente Simple Pasivo:
Wine is made.
Grapes are grown.
Present Continuo Passive:
Wine is being made.
Grapes are being grown.
present Perfecto Passive:
Wine has been made.
Grapes have been grown.
Pasado Simple Pasivo:
Wine was made.
Grapes were grown.
Pass Continuo Passive:
Wine was being made.
Grapes were being grown.
Pass Perfecto Passive:
Wine had been made.
Grapes had been grown.
Future Simple Passive:
Wine will be made.
Grapes will be grown.
Future Perfect Passive:
Wine will have been made.
