Trouble shootings on heating up of WS-100

Tools needed:a cross shaped screw driver, a M4 allen wrech, a diagonal plier, a straight screw
driver, a multimeter
Important notes:
1: Pay attention to sort screws when disassembling them off from the instrument.
Different size crews are on different positions, wrong use will cause damage to instrument.
2: Pay attention to the positions and directions of spare parts, wrong placement
will cause problem.
3: Make sure every screw return back to the right position.
4: Pay attention to the wires connections, avoid mis-connection or stuck wires.

1. Steps of operating
1.1 Take out the tube holder from instrument by disassembling 6 screws by M4 allen wrench.
1.2 Take out 6 screws on the supporting plate, and then disassemble the supporting plates, using
a cross screw driver. (Please do pay attention to protect the surface of the tank. )

1.3 Place the instrument bottom upside, drive off 22 screws on bottom, like picture below, and
open the instrument. (M3 screws x 12, M4 screws x10)

1.4 Loose and take off 4 screws on shaking plate,. Cut the fixing band around wires, and take
out the shaking plate. as pictures below
1.5 Drive off two M3 screws on control board, pull out the flat cable of display, pull out the
24V input wire connection, and take out the control board. As pictures below.

1.6 Adjust the multimeter at position of “Ω” to test the resistance of the temperature sensor,
under the room temperature, the resistance is around 10KΩ, if the resistance value is normal
means the sensor is good, otherwise, we need to change the sensor.
1.7 then test the resistance of the heating plate, connect the pins of the multimeter to the two
connection columns of heating plate, as picture below. under the room temperature, the resistance
is around 45Ω, if the resistance value is normal means the heating plate is good, otherwise, we
need to change the heating plate.

1.8 Adjust the multimeter to gear of “buzzer”, test the “temperature protection switch”, insert the
pins into the connection of the switch, as picture below. If the multimeter buzzers, the switch is
good, otherwise, the switch is broken and we need to change it.
1.9 Adjust the multimeter at gear of”Ω”, test the heating plate wire connection, as picture below.
the value is around 45Ω, if the value is normal means good. Otherwise, we need to change the
wire of the heating plate.

1.10 If all measurements turn out normal, the problem mainly cause by defective control board,
we need to change a control board.
2. Steps of change spare parts:
2.1 change temperature sensor:
① Disassemble the “temperature sensor fixing board” , by loosing the two nuts by tool. And take
out the small fixing board.

② Clear off the glue around the sensor, pull out the sensor from the fixing board, as picture below.
Use a new sensor, coat the sensor head with conductive grease, and insert the sensor head
into the hole, and fix it by AB glue. Assemble this small fixing plate back to instrument when
the AB glue solidify.

2.2 change temperature protective switch:
①、Disassemble the “temperature sensor fixing board” , by loosing the two nuts by tool. And take
out the small fixing board.

②、Clear off the glue around the switch, take out the switch from the fixing board, replace a new
switch and fix it by AB glue, Assemble this small fixing plate back to instrument when the AB glue
solidify.

2.3、Replace the heating plate:

① Take off the fixing frame by drive off the screws on it.
② Take out the pressing plate on the heating plate, take out the silicon pad. Loose the two
screws On connection of the heating plate, and take off the wires, take out the heating plate.
Replace a new heating plate, paint conductive grease on the heating plate as well as the tank
bottom, then place the heating plate onto the tank bottom, and fix them by fixing frame.

(Please note: don’t tighten hexagon head screws too much, just tighten them evenly and make
sure heating plate not moving, is enough )

③ please assemble all part back by steps reverse. GOOD LUCK!
