We all know how hard IGCSE exams can be, that's why today we have our four episode
series on how to make these exams a little easier. In each video, we will give you two
important pieces of advice for each topic, that way you feel confident no matter which IG
exam you chose.
Hope you enjoy!

Math:
In my experience, Mathematics IGCSE isn't difficult, but you can’t be confident because you
need to study. Some parts you need to remember specific things of how to do an exercise.
The first advice that we recommended is using the material and past papers that teachers
give you for practice and studying. This is so useful for the IGCSE because it is very similar
to the one you are going to do.
The next advice that is so useful is to practice a lot because in mathematics you can’t study,
you need to practice and practice, using all the past paper, doing that and refreshing the
material you can make this exam perfect. Finally, mentioning that you don't have to get
nervous because it's worse for you and that hurts you, just trust what you studied and being
calm will help you a lot to manage your nerves.

Language:
It can be said that this is the easiest IGCSE exam out there, as there is no need to study any
topics and its all about reading comprehension. But don't let these shortcuts fool you, as this
doesn't mean the exam doesnt have any challenges.
The first advice we have for you is to write, draw, take notes, underline, highlight any
important information you find in any text. It is very useful to take notes of important details,
as this is what the examiners really want to know: That you understand the text. Anything
you need is accepted. Use colors, symbols or any other strategy you find useful.

Next, when you get asked questions about any of the text, pay attention to how many points
that specific question is worth. Most of the time, the amount of point you get is the same
number of reasons/words/info taken from the text you need to include in your answer. For
example, “Why do you think X detail is important to understand the writer`s intention?” If this
question is worth 3 points, you need to include 3 reasons that justify your answer.
At the same time, this also applies for texts. You will be asked to write a short summary of a
specific text. If the question is worth 12 points, make sure to include 12 important pieces of
information from the text, and make sure to use your own words!

Env. Management:
Environmental Management IGCSE isn't a very difficult one but there are some pieces of
advice you will need to know to have the best result possible in your exam. First of all it is
very important to have a very good previous study because you will find that the exam isn't
only on memorizing things, there are graphics, analyzing text, definitions, etc. For prepare for
this exam you can ask to your teacher to provide you a cambridge summary of all the topics
that are going to enter in the exam. But you have to start with time because even though it is
a summery it is a very extenze one, so write down notes and have key words to remember
all. Second advice is to relax and don't be nervous because even if you spend lots of months
studying id you start getting nervous you won't remember the topics. So you need to be
confident of yourself and be sure that you can do the exam without problems.

Spanish:
The format of this exam is exactly the same as the Language test. Thats why, every tip we
mentioned before can be used here as well, and vice versa. That our first tip, if you decide to
sit for both exams you need to know the tests will be very similar, obviously changing
languages and topics.
Lastly, our last tip (that can also be used for the Language IG) is to take your time, think
about your answers and make sure to include every single piece od information required, but
at the same time don't write too much. The space provided to answer each question is
exactly what you will need, not more. So, overall, use your own words, make sure to answer
the question completely but pay attention to how much you write, stay inside the space
provided.
