How Sustainable Procurement can be implemented, give some examples from the
industry?
It can be implemented in various ways which was adopted by the different industries
and organizations to achieve their sustainable goals.
By identifying sustainability risks and opportunities and developing a policy which can
have a positive impact on the economy.
EXAMPLE:
 Food Industry: buying a food item from local farmers and suppliers which helps
in reducing the carbon footprint of transportation and also helps the local
economy to grow.
 Construction Industry: waste and carbon emissions can be reduced by using
recycled building materials and sustainable construction practices which can help
in protecting the natural habitats.
