- Video on the projector (teacher only)
- Decimal help hand out

Introduction/activator
- Start with a class a video and discussion on what a decimal is (~10mins):

- Worksheet #1 (~10-15mins)

- A class discussion at the end to go over what we learned and reinforce.

- The worksheets allow me to assess what aspects of decimals/fractions
students are able to grasp, and which ones the student’s struggle with.
- Less than 75% correct answers may need teacher one-on-one help
- At least 75% correct answers in each section proves proficiency
- Above 80% correct answers in each section proves above expectations
Accommodations/differentiation
- Those who struggle visualizing or learn better with hands-on experience:
can use fake money to count and help them with their work sheet.
- Those who need the extra help can come to my small desk to get
specialized help
- Those with reading disorders can have their instructions read to them
aloud
- Those who are grasping it quickly can help teach their peers to gain a
better understanding.
