I desire an internship that provides hands-on experiences with adults, their families, and their

environment. I am interested in finding creative solutions to complex issues that arise from the
intersection of crime, law, social work, and policy. I am a proven leader on campus with diverse
experiences in student government, advocacy work, and student recruitment. My
communication skills are sharp and effective, and I feel that I can easily connect and empathize
with others. To increase my global perspective, teamwork skills, and creativity, I need an
environment that challenges me to work both independently and in groups. I need to feel a
sense of personal responsibility without constant supervision, while also having the opportunity
to hear diverse perspectives. After finishing my BSW and MSW, I will continue to law school.
Therefore, I desperately need experience working with adults to address challenges that occur
on multiple system levels. I hope to empower my clients to reach their full potential through a
lens that prioritizes justice. My career in criminal law will demand me to possess many different
skills and experiences. I hope to use my internship to enhance my critical thinking skills,
flexibility, and empathy for others.
