The difference between each public speaking practice is characterized through its purpose or mode of
use. For instance, the persuasive and motivational public speaking may seem similar in thought but differ
on practice. Persuasive intends to gain the listener's attention and make them accept your views while
motivational public speaking uses stories to motivate or inspire the listeners and awaken their passion.
The use of each type of public speaking are crucial depending on setting. Inappropriate or inefficient
practice of public speaking may result to misunderstanding and failure to achieve the initial goal. In a
political campaign, if you have not used a persuasive method of public speaking, you my not convinced
the people to vote for you.
