BACKGROUND

This document is tendered with respect to Michael Stevens providing Consulting Services for
Capacity Building and Training to Starzs Marine & Engineering Nigeria Limited. This document
details how support will be given to Starzs Marine in order to ensure it achieves its objectives
with regards to capacity Building and Leadership Organisational Development.

ABOUT MICHAEL STEVENS

The Michael Stevens’ Capacity Building service is focused on an organization’s abilities to


perform specific activities such as Training and People Development. An Organizational
capacity building approach is used by Michael Stevens to develop our client’s human
capital, so they can better fulfil their defined mission. We believe that the steps to building
organizational capacity include:

teamwork that guarantee quality assurance and quality control in consonance with its
community, safety, health and environmental security policy.

In a quest to enforce these values and drivers, Michael Stevens is presenting a bouquet of
training programmes directed to meet the performance, capacity building and leadership
organisational development needs of staff and management.

LEADING & DEVELOPING HIGH PERFORMANCE TEAMS (Three Days)


Teams are the heart of an organization. When they are working effectively, are motivated,
are clear on and connected to the organizational goals of the business they can be
unstoppable. Performance issues based on personal relationships and team dynamics take
huge amounts of resources to solve. It drains managers' time as well as decreasing
motivation. To work together, team members must develop their interactive,
communication, and interpersonal skills.
This workshop focuses on crucial interpersonal skills that team members must have if they are
to function as a high performance work team. Most team training courses focus on the
mechanics of effective teams – problem solving, meeting skills, and decision making.
Although these skills are critical to team success, they ignore a major issue for all teams – how
to interact with each other.

This Time Management & Personal Effectiveness course is a comprehensive learning
experience that provides participants with a chance to examine their current working
practices and to explore a series of time-management and personal effectiveness
techniques. The goal is for participants to establish the necessary steps to making more
efficient use of their own time, as well as other people's.
Participants are also encouraged to evaluate their work-life balance and to take charge of
their own development, planning and implementing the review mechanisms necessary to
monitor the process and learning how to deal with work-related stress.

Leadership is a complex process by which the leader influences others to perform and
Supervisors are an extremely important part of the management team since they are the
management in closest contact with the people who actually produce the work.

Effective Supervision depends on a blend of appropriate skills, knowledge, attitudes, and


behaviours coupled with relevant experience. The truly successful leader is one who is able

These courses are highly interactive courses based on the application of theoretical

nonetheless we are willing to re-construct the modules to fit your preferred timeframes

· Michael Stevens require at least 2 weeks prior notice before the preferred training date
to facilitate the mobilization of materials and manpower.

Facilitator Ohenhen
Mr Ohenhen is an expert in leadership, management and marketing communications
development, training and consulting, and has well over 20 years of working experience at

management, and then chief executive officer level. A Stress Management expert also, he
has conducted, as well as led consortium of faculties in several human capital development
projects (in consulting and training), across several industries, and cutting across all
management levels.

Mr Ohenhen holds a Masters Degree in Theatre Arts Management and Administration of the
University of Ibadan; and a Bachelor of Arts Degree also in Theatres Arts, (Benin). He hold a
Ph.D of the University of Ibadan, specialising in Arts Management and Administration. With a
professional Certificate and Diploma in Public Relations, Stanley is also an Associate Member
of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR), and is the Managing Partner of Laureate
Consults Limited – a leadership, management and marketing communications consulting
and training organisation.

Facilitator Oni
Mr Oni is an external associate consultant with Michael Stevens Consulting and a seasoned
conference speaker. He holds a Ph.D degree in the Sociology of Complex Organisations,
after his Bachelor degree which he completed with First Class honours from University of Ife
(now Obafemi Awolowo University) in Nigeria. Tope Oni has acquired over 27 years
postgraduation experience, consisting of 7 years in university teaching and research, 15
years in management consulting (which took him through Coopers & Lybrand, Price
Waterhouse and Ernst & Young), and 6 years hands-on HR management in First Bank and
United Bank for Africa, two of the leading banks in the Nigerian banking industry. After his
banking career, he resumed his career in Management Consulting as MD/CEO of Karis
Consulting
SERVICE FEES

Our charges are based on deliverables: High Quality, Task- Oriented Lecturers and Manuals,
Quality of our resource persons and Comprehensiveness of the course outline.

§ N 30,000.00 per participant (1 days Course)


§ N 60,000.00 per participant (2 days Course)
§ N 65,000.00 per participant (3 days Course)
§ N 75,000.00 per participant (4 days Course)
§ N 85,000.00 per participant (5 days Course)
*All fees exclusive of 5% VAT. **Minimum delegate numbers required.

PAYMENT TERMS

1. Michael Stevens will receive an Engagement Fee of 50% of the total charge fee upfront
on signing agreement or before the training.
2. A final payment covering the outstanding 50% will be made once a final Training report
is delivered.
3. Service fee is exclusive of all taxes including withholding tax.
4. Service fees exclude the participant’s logistics travel, accommodation and sustenance.
5. The Client shall kindly provide the training venue, meals for participants, refreshments and
equipment associated with the programme (Michael Steven will be happy to arrange for
these requirements at an addition cost).

ASSOCIATED COST

In the event that the training programmes will be conducted at client sites outside Lagos; we
expect that Starzs Marine & Engineering Nigeria Limited will provide hotel accommodation,
meals, Air-fare expenses and ground travel allowances. This measure will adequately cover
for an approved number of consultants who will facilitate at various sessions. Starzs Marine
shall kindly provide the training venue, meals for participants, refreshments and equipment
associated with the programme.
