communication using the four variables; Medium, Channels, Example and Decoding.
Medium:
- Medium in verbal communication We used words, language, sentences and
voice. While in non-verbal communication we have our entire body, or body
language, facial expressions the tone of our voice the pauses of our speech
Channel:
- In verbal communication we only have a one channel that is the human voice
while in the non-verbal communication have the multiple channels: Example
Body language, facial expressions, tone of our voice and pauses in speech
Example:
- The example of verbal communication is telephone conversation and face to
face interaction.
- The example of non-verbal communication it can only occurs when all the
parties in the conversation can see each other this help them properly
understand what they are communicating non-verbally.
Decoding
- When it comes to decoding verbal communication are much easier to decode
because we only using single channel and that is our human voice while in
non-verbal communication are considering multiple channels.
