ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS
POINT FORTIN BOROUGH DAY PARADE 2023

GENERAL
1. The Point Fortin Borough Corporation will be staging a parade of uniformed groups as part of its
celebrations commemorating the 43rd Anniversary of the inauguration of the Borough of Point Fortin
on Friday 28th April 2023.
2. The Commandant (Ag) has accepted the invitation for the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force to
participate in this parade.

PARTICIPATION
3. 6TTCF supported by 2TTCF and CCB will provide the personnel for the TTCF Detachments.

4. The TTCF will parade two detachments of 32 OR’s each including right marker and left guide. 6TTCF
and 2TTCF will supply troops and staff for No. 1 Detachment. CCB will supply troops and staff for No. 2
Detachment

5. The TTCF Detachments will be commanded by a subalterns assigned as Detachment Commander and
Second in Command respectively and assisted by a Detachment Sergeant Major and 2
supernumeraries per detachment.

6. The Band and Corps of Drums will be deployed for this parade.

7. 2TTCF Colours will be on parade.

PARADE FORMAT
8. The parade will form up at the Mahaica Oval where it will be inspected by Her Worship the Mayor of
Point Fortin.
9. The parade then proceed on the route march with Her Worship the Mayor taking the salute at the
Victor Chin Kit Park.
10. The parade will return to the Mahaica Oval where it will be dismissed.

FORM UP AND DISMISSAL POINT


11. The TTCF Detachment will report to the Mahaica Oval for 0930 hours on the day of the parade.
12. Battalion Commanders for detailed battalions are authorized to coordinate with the Cadet Force
Division to arrange appropriate return transport for troops on parade.

DRESS
14. TTCF personnel will parade in No. 3 Drill Order.

a. Medal ribbons will be worn in order of seniority.

b. All Ranks are reminded that they are not to appear in ‘mixed Dress’ whilst proceeding to or
returning from the parade.

PARADE REHEARSAL
15. There will be a parade rehearsal on Fri. 21 April at 0930 hours.

16. OR’s will wear No. 8 Field Wear for the rehearsal.

17. Adults will wear No. 3 Drill Order with medal ribbons.

18. The TTCF Detachment will muster and dismiss in accordance with the same movement instructions for
the day of the parade.

TTCF INTERNAL REHEARSAL


19. There will be a rehearsal for TTCF personnel on Sat. 22 April from 0800 – 1200 hours.

20. OR’s will wear mufti for the rehearsal.

21. Adults will wear No. 8 Field Wear

ARMS
22. Officers on parade will carry swords.

23. Troops on parade will use the Lee Enfield rifle.

SERVICE SUPPORT
24. The CFD is responsible for providing service support in the following areas:
a. Transport:
i. Return transport for parade troops (x70) to be transported in accordance with agreed
movement details for 2TTCF and 6TTCF troops.
ii. CO 2TTCF and CO 6TTCF are authorized to coordinate movement details with the CFD for
their troops.
iii. CO SSB is authorized to coordinate transport details with the CFD for the Band and Corps
of Drums.

b. Arms:
i. Lee Enfield DP rifles x68 for troops on parade.
ii. Drill swords with frogs and leather scabbards (x6).
iii. Rifles with bayonets and white slings (x2) for the Colour Party.

25. The Detachment Commander will assign 2 liaisons from available personnel to coordinate the collection
& distribution of rations after the parade dismissal.

MESSING
26. Water and rehydration fluids will be provided by the Point Fortin Borough Corporation
27. Lunches with beverages for troops and staff (x150) will be provided by the Point Fortin Borough
Corporation.
28. Officers and Warrant Officers will be accommodated at the Town Hall at the Point Fortin Borough
Corporation for Lunch.

STATE REPORT
29. The senior NCO from each Battalion and participating Units will furnish the Detachment Sergeant
Major with a state report for onward transmission to the TTCF Headquarters for both the internal
rehearsal on Sat. 22nd April 2023 and the parade on Fri. 28th April 2023.

ANY OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES

30. CO 6TTCF is authorized to treat with any other related activity not covered by this Administrative
Instruction for the successful execution of the exercise.
