SARS-CoV-2 is a member of the family

Coronaviridae and order Nidovirales. The
2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) or the severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2
(SARS-CoV-2) as it is now called, is rapidly spreading from its origin in Wuhan City of
Hubei Province of China to the rest of the world (Wang et al., 2020)
Since the initial report from China, the disease spread rapidly, and the number of
cases increased exponentially. On January 11, the first case was reported outside mainland
China in Thailand,7 and within months, the disease spread to all the continents except
Antarctica. Globally, 21 July 2021, there have been 191,148,056 confirmed cases of COVID-
19, including 4,109,303 deaths, reported to WHO. Indonesia reported its first case of
COVID-19 in March 2020 and the number of infected cases started to increase. On July 8,
2021, there were 367,733 active cases recorded and that number increased to 20 thousand
cases/day (Komite Penanganan COVID-19 dan Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional, 2021).
The SARS-CoV-2 virus attacks the human respiratory system, so that clinical
manifestations that arise are often respiratory system disorders such as shortness of breath,
cough, fever. Clinical symptoms of this disease can cause mild, moderate, or severe
symptoms. The main clinical symptoms that often appear are fever (body temperature >
38oC), cough, and shortness of breath. In addition, other symptoms can occur in the form of
heavy breathing, fatigue, myalgia, and can also occur in the form of gastrointestinal
symptoms, etc. The incubation period for this virus until clinical symptoms appear is about 3-
7 days (Yuliana, 2020)
The clinical features of COVID-19 are varied, ranging from asymptomatic state to
acute respiratory distress syndrome and multi organ dysfunction. The common clinical
features include fever (not in all), cough, sore throat, headache, fatigue, headache, myalgia
and breathlessness. In a subset of patients, by the end of the first week the disease can
progress to pneumonia, respiratory failure and death (Chen et al., 2020).
COVID-19 is a fairly complex problem that affects the whole world. This pandemic
has also affected our daily lives, both personally and globally, one of which is in the global
economy. This pandemic has affected hundreds of millions of people both directly infected
with this virus and those who are not. This pandemic has had an impact on various sectors of
life such as the health sector, the economic sector, and the social sector. In the health sector,
this pandemic has made overloading of medical shops, overload on doctors and other
healthcare professionals, who are at a very high risk, quarantine and treatment of suspected or
confirmed cases, patients with other disease and health problems are getting neglected. In
economic sector, this pandemic has made slowing of the manufacturing of essential goods,
disrupt the supply chain of products, losses in national and international business, poor cash
flow in the market. In social sector, this pandemic has made disruption of celebration of
cultural, religious and festive events, undue stress among the population, social distancing
with our peers and family members (Haleem et al., 2020). This COVID-19 has affected the
sources of supply and effects the global economy. There are restrictions of travelling from
one country to another country. During travelling, numbers of cases are identified positive
when tested, especially when they are taking international visits (Chinazzi, 2019). All
governments, health organisations and other authorities are continuously focussing on
identifying the cases affected by the COVID-19. Healthcare professional face lot of
difficulties in maintaining the quality of healthcare in these days (Haleem et al., 2020).
