PERFORMANNCE AMONG BEED AND BSED STUDENT

Since our study is to determine the significant relationship between the level of parental involvement and
student’s motivation among Junior and Senior High School students of Laak Institute Foundation Inc.

We seek To determine which level of domains in parental involvement significantly influence student’s
motivation among Junior and Senior High School students of Laak Institute Foundation Inc.

3. is there an existing research gap?

- yes, because the individual students may suffer from physical, mental, or other personal problems that
affecting their motivation.

4. what method and technique did you use?

DESCRIPTIVE APPROACH PARTICULARLY DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICAL APPROACH AND

CORRELATION

THIS UTILIZED DESCRIPTIVE AND CORRELATION METHOD WITH A

QUANTITATIVE APPROACH

5. who are your respondence?

-The Junior and Senior High School students and their parents of Laak Institute Foundation Incorporated.

6. how do you plan to gather your data?

By using questionnaires to determine the significant relationship between the level of parental
involvement and student’s motivation
7. what instrument did you use?

- we use questionnaires to the respondents

8. how did you choose the sample of your study?

- this study uses stratified random sampling is probability sampling method and a form of random
sampling in which the population is divided in two or more groups, according to one or more common
attributes

9. discuss the population and sample of your study

- we have chosen 100 students from BEED & 15 students from BSED

10. what is the background of your study?

According to (Mehndroo & Vandana, 2020) Motivation is an indispensable factor in a student’s academic
preparedness and desire to learn. These motivated students have the desire and curiosity to grasp the
importance of education. On another note, parents and teachers can create an environment in which
students' learning will be organized and achieved by encouraging students to be committed and
motivated. Motivation is the main factor for everyone’s actions, desires, and needs. Motives are what
prompt a man in a certain way or creating a certain moral tendency

Based on previous research(Pavalache & Tirdia, 2015), it was hypothesized that parents who have a
positive attitude towards their child's education, school, and teacher are able to positively influence their
child's academic performance by two mechanisms: (a) by being engaged with the child to increase the
child's self-perception of cognitive competence and (b) by being engaged with the teacher and school to
promote a stronger and more positive student-teacher relationship. The participants in the research are
students in the Junior high and Senior high school in Laak Institute Foundation Inc. The results confirm
the hypothesis that school performance is significantly associated to the level of parental involvement and
of intrinsic motivation.

11. how is your theory and concept relevant to your study?

This study is anchored on the study of Wendy S. Grolnick and her colleagues, in articles published in
1994 and 1997, which conceptualized three dimensions of parental involvement based on how parent-
child interactions affect students' schooling and motivation. According to (Grolnick, 1994) Parental
involvement affects student that they have control over their success in school.

This study is supported by Lee, Liu, Zhang et. al, the relationship between motivation and creativity has
long been of interest and many studies have been conducted to demonstrate the role of intrinsic and
extrinsic motivation on creativity. Based on both SDT and the confluence approach of creativity, this study
attempted to examine the relationship between autonomous/controlled motivation and creative thinking as
well as the moderating role of parental involvement/autonomy support on this relationship. Results
indicated that autonomous motivation positively predicted creative thinking, and this relationship was
moderated by parental involvement.

12. what does it implies or means? (Title?)

To determine the significant relationship between the level of parental involvement and student’s
motivation among Junior and Senior High School students of Laak Institute Foundation Inc.

13. give me 1 literature from your rrl

According to (Pavalatche-Ilie & Terdia, 2015), The role of parental involvement has contribution to
students learning motivation. Thus, the students who got adequate and optimal support from their parents
would have a better learning motivation and vice versa. This study identifies the relationship between
parental involvement and student’s motivation with an objective measure of the students’ academic
outcomes through students’ perception in Junior and Senior High School. The interest that the parents
show towards the evolution of their children and the assistance that they offer with the homework are
among the predictors of academic success and of the adaptation to the school environment.

14. what is your main theory?

according to (Borup, Graham, et al., 2020) the students have cognitive behavioral and affective
engagement components which determine the individual academic success.

According to (Grolnick, 1994) Parental involvement affects student motivation that they have control over
their success in school. The study conceptualized three dimensions of parental involvement based on
how parent-child interactions affect students' schooling and motivation. Behavioral involvement refers to
parents' public actions representing their interest in their child's education, such as attending an open
house or volunteering at the school. Personal involvement includes parent-child interactions that
communicate positive attitudes about school and the importance of education to the child.
Cognitive/intellectual involvement refers to behaviors that promote children's skill development and
knowledge, such as reading books and going to museums.

15. what is your motivation for conducting the study?

- we aal know that we have diverse students through this study. According to (Dr. Delfino, A., 2019)
Student engagement is one of the important constructs that is used to understand the behavior of the
student towards the teaching-learning process. we are able to determine the strength and weaknesses of
the students.
16. what is the title of your research? What is it all about?

-PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT AND STUDENT’S MOTIVATION AMONG JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH
SCHOOL STUDENTS OF LAAK INSTITUTE FOUNDATION INCORPORATED

17. what is the meaning of your conceptual framework?

as use to this study the independent has the following indicator's these are willingness, needs, desire,
compulsion to participate in. for dependent variable we have this indicator which is grades. Meaning, this
conceptual framework has shown the relationship of student's engagement in academic performance.

As use in this study the independent has the following indicator’s, these are Behavioral Involvement,
Personal Involvement and Cognitive/ Intellectual involvement that significantly affect students motivation.
For dependent variable these have three indicator’s which are the activation, persistence and intensity.
Meaning this conceptual framework has shown the relationship of parental involvement in students
motivation.

18. what is your research design? Why did you choose your research design?

- descriptive and correlation, we choose this design to describe the relationship of the parental
involvement and student motivation among junior and senior high school of LIFI.

19. what is your scope and limitation?

This study is only focuses on the PARENTAL involvement and student motivation among junior and
senior high school student in Laak Institute Foundation Inc. The researcher respondents of this study are
the junior and senior high school students and their parents.

20. what is the purpose of your study?

Institute Foundation incorporated in terms of:

1.1 behavioral involvement

1.2 personal involvement

1.3 cognitive/ intellectual involvement

2. To measure the level of student’s motivation among Junior and Senior High School students of
Laak Institute Foundation incorporated in terms of:
