PETS!!!

MORNING

When you wake up if you want to eat your breakfast in peace, its best to feed the pets first
or they’ll hassle you! Feed them separately! If you don’t know how to handle Jiji, you can
start by keeping the hallway door closed and feeding him there.

Jiji
- Take away his biscuits first!
- Use the flat white plate next to the cardboard couch and grab ½ a pack/tin of cat
food which is on top of the fridge, mix it with about 2 tablespoons of water
- He takes ages to eat it so feed him first! If he finishes, you can give him some biscuit.
Biscuits are behind the TV, only put about 1-2 tablespoons in his bowl at a time
Boof
- Let him out for a wee first thing, always close the kitchen/laundry door and leave the
back door open.
- Grab his bowl outside, rule of thumb for a meal is use the tongs, grab the raw mince
in the fridge and give him a decent fistful of the raw meat and the biscuits on top of
the fridge. Give him a cupful of biscuits and maybe 1 cup of water mixed in.
- Right before you leave the house let him wee again. Sometimes he’ll rush back into
the house. If he plays up, tell him to sit and then pat him on the head. Idk its his
secret password for some reason. Don’t be afraid to use a stern voice when you’re
commanding him.
- If he won’t eat outside (sometimes there’s construction sounds bothering him), feed
him in the laundry or stay with him for a bit.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE

- Take off pillows and blankets off the bed
- Open the bedroom blind a little bit just enough so the pets can look out the window
- Grab the big plush blue blanket and place it on the bed, dark side facing up. Tuck it in
against the wall a bit snug.
- Use the cat scratcher pole to keep the bedroom door open.
- Make sure the hallway door is closed so they can’t access the rest of the house.
- Make sure none of Jiji’s food bowls are in the hallway or Boof will eat them.

NIGHT
- Let boof out for a wee when you come home. Normally the pets are hungry around
4-5pm depending on what time you fed in the morning.
- Maybe don’t let Jiji gorge on his biscuits first thing or he won’t eat his wet food.
- Feed them the same thing as the morning and then Jiji can have biscuits after.
- You can bring Boof’s bed into the living room, he’ll try sit near you.
- Boof is not allowed on the couch, not allowed on the bed unless the blue blanket is
there (he’ll shed fur everywhere)
- Jiji is not allowed on any tables!! He normally sits on the wooden dining chair under
the table which is fine. He’s not allowed on kitchen benches either so scare him off if
he tries it! He is allowed on the couch but don’t let him scratch the couch or carpet.
He can scratch the recycling basket near the stove bench and his cardboard couch.
- Let Boof out for a wee before you go to bed and make sure Jiji has had some biscuits
right before bed time or he’ll scratch at the hallway door at night.
- Close the hallway and bedroom doors and the pets sleep in there at night.

STORM

- If you’re home and there’s a storm, pull Boof’s bed towards the couch and just sit
with him. If he paces around running/panting just keep commanding him to sit on his
bed.
- He might not eat that much if a storm is brewing so keep an eye on the weather app.

HOUSEKEEPING
- Wednesday is bin day; we will put them out in the morning before we leave. Just
bring them in!!
- Kitty litter is kept in the spare hallway room. Empty out as needed (usually 1-2 days).
Plastic bags are under the sink, pooper scooper is in the Ozito box at front of house.
- Toilet paper is in the laundry cupboard.
- There is a squeegee in the shower if it makes a wet mess on the floor, just scrape the
floor down and the brown part of the floor.
- If you can water the plants as needed that would be great. I just run them under the
tap where they are located. There are some seedlings out the back, just fill the
watering can in the bathtub. I won’t be too sad if they die haha.
- SPARE KEY is under the front porch pat near the bench. The lockbox code is 3013
(the Yarraville postcode)
- Make sure you don’t lock yourself in the backyard!!
- Make sure when the back door is open for boof, Jiji is always locked inside the
house.
- You will probably need to buy Boof some fresh chicken or beef mince every few
days. If you buy too much at once it goes off fast.
