Physical:

 Body shape - Your hips will widen and your body


will get curvier.
 Height - You will grow taller.
 Acne - You may develop acne. This is a condition
of the skin that shows up as bumps – most
commonly on the face, neck, shoulders, upper
back and chest. These bumps can be blackheads,
whiteheads, pimples, or cysts. Hormonal changes
during puberty cause acne in teens. 
 Breast growth and tenderness - The first stage of
breast growth is called ‘budding’. Sometimes the
breasts are different sizes. The breasts may be
tender during this time. This is normal but speak
with your doctor if you are worried.
 Hair growth - Hair will start to grow around the
pubic area and under your arms, and hair on your
legs and arms will darken.

decision-making in school and at home
 Begins to show use of formal logical operations in schoolwork

Compassion - Emphaty

Passion is about our emotions. It can often be about selfish motives.


Passion is smack in the middle of what you love and what you are great at.
Passion is what you feel you can't live without and for the time being, It’s what you love!
Passion is powerful. 
Empathy and compassion are both essential components of the human condition
that have been passed down through evolution to aid in our survival. Seeing people in
pain activates parts of our brain that are associated with threat detection and nurturing.
It also has an effect on the vagus nerve, which controls the heart and lungs, as well
as the brain's reward centers. Acts of kindness actually provide us with "hits" of
pleasure chemicals.

I. ACTIVITY 5: Mentimeter: Love and Passion

Passion is stronger in the short run. Love is stronger in the long run. Passion bis a
short-term urgency. Live is a long term protectiveness. Passion can be wrong, selfish, self-
centered and deadly. Humans are constantly programmed to believe that passion is wonderful.
In reality, the ideal love is a strong practical sacrificial devoted love (real love) with some
passion (emotional attachment) in it; the second best is real love without passion; and the third
is a passionate life without true love.
