Incident Description (Incident Phenomena)

The ASMA board configurated GE , but the service is not working normally.
Networking Environment

Problem Cause Analysis

1 、 Check whether the configuration is correct in the customer's GE switch?

2 、 Check the ASMA Board OCH optical power and OSNR is normal or not?
3 、 Check the service configuration is correct or not, whether the Client and LR / LT port are
binding in the same VLAN ?

4 、 Check the ASMA Board ports configuration parameters is correct or not ？

Solution

1 、 Connect the GE swithes with the bare fibers ， the service is working normally,so the
customer switch can be excluded
2 、 Check the ASMA Board OCH Optical Power and OSNR by OSA ， and confirm they are normal
！

3 、 Test the service from the ASMA Client port with GE Analyzer while looping from another
site .The service is working normally ！

4 、 After discussing with customer , we found that GE sent a jumbo frame , but ASMA port
default jumbo frame is disable . So that jumbo frame will be discarded.

Configure the jumbo Frame enable and the service will work normally .

Follow the steps ： select the NE--->NE Management--->WDM Management--->Port
