Incident Description (Incident Phenomena)

3*M721 loss managment in mixture network M820 and M721

Networking Environment

mixture network M820 and M721;

A-802-1 site connect to U31 server by DCN network

 Problem Cause Analysis

1. check the static route

2. M721 site config information is fault

3. check the M820 site configuration

Solution

1. To ping M820 site is ok

2. To ping and telent M721 site is not pass;

3. To check configuration and static route of M721 is ok;

4. To check static route of the M820 site is ok;

5. Check optical port1&port2 IP address of SOSC M820 is right according to the original planning;

6. Find PPPOE protocal optical port1&port2 IP address of SOSC is start, the port protocal is start
default setting;

but when M820 connect to M721 directly by optical port ,we should be unstart PPPOE protocal of
port in M820,so we change the configruation to unstart model, then the M721 can be managed.

when M820 connect to M721 directly by optical port ,we should unstart PPPOE protocal of optical
port in M820.
