Incident Description (Incident Phenomena)

When deploy the 10GE service between AZ to BR, there is one strange things:

When CR port of SOTU10G in solt 0-6-15 connect to Data equipmentT8000, the LED CR in
SOTU10G is off even the optical power is -5dB by power meter.

If the CT port of this SOTU10G connect to Data T8000, the 10GE card in T8000 will restart in 10
seconds.
Networking Environment

Problem Cause Analysis

1) Check the important data of the problem SOTU10G card, there is no any abmormal.

2) Check current alarm of this SOTU10G, the LR port report some major alram.

3) Try to change another SOTU10G, the problem is cleared.

4) And if move the problem SOTU10G card to another service which connect to another 10GE
card in T8000,

it will cause this new 10GE card restart, the problem happens again.
Solution

Finally it is sure that the SOTU10G meets a hardware fault and we replace the SOTU10G with
spare part, then the problem is cleared.
 Summary and Notes

Some suggestion:

when we deploy some service for other system(Data,SDH), first to configure all WSU and check
the service from LT to LR,

after we make sure there is no any abnormal alarm, then we can connect or open the CR laser.
