a. Who established and/or the leader of the organization?
 A group of Filipino students in Madrid under by Juan Atayde, a retired army.

b. The purpose/ goal of the organization


 A publication intended to communicate opinions regarding the oppressive Spanish
government, the Revista del Circulo Hispano-Filipino, was published by the
organization. Due to a lack of funding and competing political concerns, the
newspaper was only successful for a brief period of time, which ultimately led to
the organization's demise.

 6 years. Founded on February 15, 1989 and existed up to November 15, 1985.

3. Read an excerpt from the article “Our Aims” written by the staff of La Solidaridad on
February 15, 1889 and discuss what are the aims of the newspaper La Solidaridad.
 La Solidaridad's objectives are very clear: to come together and collect liberals. A
daily exposure of political ideas in the sciences, arts, literature, trade, agriculture,
and industry. Nation was looking for answers that are wholly domestic and
democratic.

4. Distinguish Jose Rizal’s involvement in the movement (La Solidaridad) and explain how a
propaganda works.
 La Solidaridad (Solidarity), a weekly journal he founded in Barcelona in 1889,
became the main publication of the Propaganda Movement and had readers in both
Spain and the islands.
 Journalist Graciano Lopez Jaena, a Filipino immigrant to Barcelona, started La
Solidaridad in 1888. La Solidaridad acted as the voice of the Propaganda Movement
throughout its existence, calling for changes to the Philippines' political and
religious systems.
