3. Read an excerpt from the article “Our Aims” written by the staff of La
Solidaridad on February 15, 1889 and discuss what are the aims of the
newspaper La Solidaridad.
 The goal is to amass liberal. ideas that are regularly made public in
the political camp, in the sciences, the arts, the humanities,
business, agriculture, and industry. nation, seeking only
democratic and national answers.

4. Distinguish Jose Rizal’s involvement in the movement (La Solidaridad) and


explain how a propaganda works.
 La Solidaridad (Solidarity), a fortnightly publication he started in
Barcelona in 1889, became the Propaganda Movement's principal
vehicle, attracting readers from both Spain and the islands.
 The Propaganda Movement encompassed the actions of a group of
Filipinos who pushed for political reforms in their nation in the late
nineteenth century and wrote books, posters, and newspaper
articles to inform others about their objectives and the issues they
were trying to address.
