The National Cadet Corps (NCC) has initiated a nationwide flagship campaign ‘Puneet Sagar
Abhiyan’, to clean seashores/beaches and other water bodies.
It was conducted by GP Hq Delhi – ‘C’ where the cadets from different battalions came
together to volunteer for the cleaning of the Yamuna river. We collected the waste such as
plastic bags, cans, bottles, etc.

Objectives-

● To free seashores/beaches from plastic & other waste materials.

● To propagate the message of the ‘Importance of Clean Seashores/Beaches’ amongst
the local population and future generations.
● Cadets also made a deliberate effort to sensitize and mobilize the support of the
local populace in preventing pollution of sea beaches through one-on-one contact.
