For each reading, the units = 1 point, sign = 1 point

Part A:
Given :
VS is sin wave with:
Amplitude P-P = 6 Volt
Frequency = 950 Hz
+ s
C = 0.07 µF
R = 1900 Ω -

Using Pspice, simulate the given circuit and find:

VR RMS = 1.32 V (2pts)

VC P-P = 4.70 V (2pts)

Time shift X between Vs & Vr = 150 μsec (2pts)

Phase shift = 51.3° (1 pt)

Average Active Power for R (P)= 𝑽𝟐𝑹 𝑹𝑴𝑺 ⁄𝑹 = 𝟗𝟏𝟓. 𝟔 𝛍𝐖 (1 pt)

Part B:
A) What is the device which divides an electrical power feed into subsidiary
circuits? (Circuit Breaker - Residual Current Devices - Distribution Board( (1
pts)

B) Consider a 1200 W hairdryer. If the KWh costs 3 fils, how much does it cost
per month if you use it every day for 15 minutes? (Show your calculations in
details( (1pts)

Cost = 1.2 kW × (15⁄60) minutes × 30 days × 3 fils = 𝟐𝟕 fils
