ECONOMIC PLAN
What will be your economic and/or socioeconomic goals? Choose only most
important ones, recognizing trade-offs. (Create a unique name of your island that
relates to your economic plan).
Efficiency, equity, security, and stability are our main economic goal/socio-economic
goals in the island. Efficiency makes our situation easier than not being efficient in many
things, equity because all of the survivors are equal in making decisions and making its
own will, security because all people need security in every aspect, and lastly is
stability, all people need stable and comfortable life situation.
OVERALL
What will be produced? How will it be produced? For whom it will be produced?
Assume that you have built your government. Who will make decisions
(government, individuals or a mix)?
The product that we will produced are fruits, vegetables, fish, and crops. These
products are produced through farming and fishing by the individuals stacked in the
island. The decision would be a mix, all individuals are free to express their ideas but
they also need a proper guidance of a good leader, without the proper guide of a leader
it will be a disaster in how the remaining people will survive.
LAND DISTRIBUTION
Will the land be privately owned? If so, who gets it and how?
The Land is owned by the tribe of a native people. They are the ones who in habited the
island for a very long time so they have the rights to have the ownership of the island.
They are the one who should take the resource, all the outsiders should ask permission
first before taking up resources on the land.
LAND
What natural resources will be used to produce goods?
The natural resources that would be used are water and soul, water is need in order to
produced fish and soul is important to grow fruits, vegetables, and crops. Fresh water is
limited in the island, it needs to lessen the waste of fresh water.

What work should be done?

The works that need to be done are farming, fishing, and making materials out of the
resources.
Who should do this job?
All the survivors will do the work, no one is exempted.

What about the job that nobody likes?

Every person is needed to do the jobs that are needed to be done, if the person rejects
the offered job, he/she will not be shared on the goods that the survivors had.

Does each person just have one job or many?

No, every individual will help in production if their part is done. Increasing the producers
will increase the production.

CAPITAL

What kind of capital (tools, machines, etc.) will be used to produce goods? How
will this capital be attained?

The Capital that would be used are made up of stones and branches of tree. Those
items will help to make the production be faster and more efficient. The stones can be
shaped as knife and spear for catching foods, the branches of tree can be used to dig
the soil to plant fruits, vegetables, and crops. All these materials can be found anywhere
at the island.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP

What will be your economic and/or socioeconomic goals? Choose only most
important ones, recognizing trade-offs. (How will you market your products)?

At the island trading is the only way of making a business, no money will be used just
the products that are being produced. If the stocks of fish are too much for the people,
we will trade it to the native tribe for exchange of fruits and vegetables.
 PROBLEM SOLVING

Population and Consumption

You notice that your natural resources are becoming overused and studies
indicate that your society is consuming more that can be sustained in the long
term.

*Do you consider the needs of future generation?

We cannot deny that every generation has its own strengths. The mere fact that the
generation now finds ways to cover all of the gaps from foods to raw materials in our
society gives the hope for the future generation. I believe that the future generation are
ready and wise enough to find good resources to their future needs. I myself seeing the
future generation to have a brighter tomorrow.

*How do you deal with a growing population and the over consumptive of your
society?

On the other hand, overconsumption is one of the problems of the society, and we
cannot deny the fact that we can't prevent it because everyone is eating, there are some
people who consume excessive amounts of food. In my opinion, we can deal with the
growing population by strengthening the policies of family planning we should start at
the early stage of a child. We also can't deny that if we misuse the food that we
consume, the result or the feedback won't be good, there won't be enough resources,
and eventually there will be famine everywhere. Dealing with these issues is
challenging, but we can educate not just others but also ourselves. Once we educate
ourselves, we can then educate others.
WELFARE

Some of the members of your group had various social problems, e.g drug
addiction and mental illness when you arrived. These people do not work very
hard, at least for now, and need special medical care and psychological help. Will
the other members of the society provide for these individuals' needs? If yes,
How and for how long?

Yes, as a group we should aid and offer our members not just to impress others but to
give a good example to others. If we're asking for how long, I think it is adequate if
members of the group are well educated enough towards a person who has a
background of drug addiction and mental illness. As much as they require assistance, it
puts a smile on their faces, and as a group, I believe they should experience a sense of
belonging.

Native people

You have just found out that in a remote area of the island there exist a tribe of
native people. It is also rumored that the ground underneath this tribe is rich in
coal deposits. You could use coal as fuel for your new machines; what should
you do? Will you ask the tribe to join your culture and share the resources? Will
you leave them alone? Will you remain separate but establish peaceful relations
with them. Will you ask them to move? Give them part of the island? How will you
deal with these new people and their resources?

(INCLUDE THIS SCENARION IN YOUR ROLE PLAY)

If it is that scenario, the best thing to do is make a negotiation, make a peaceful and
respectful communication with the tribe, we can exchange labor for exchange of the
coal. If the machine works, ask the tribe leader if they want to come to the civilize world.
The best thing to do is negotiate with them and avoid any mis understandings that will
cause war or killings.
 Si miguel nasa isla Trouvaille

Si Miguel ay isang batang masunurin. Ito ay matalino, mapagmahal, maalaga at

maparaan. Siya ay nakatira sa maliit na parong parong sa bayan ng Prima kasama ang
kanyang ina na kaagapay nito sa lahat ng pagsubok. Ipinanganak itong nawalay sa
ama, ngunit di ito hadlang upang sumuko siya sa buhay.

Isang araw, napagplanohan ng magkakaibang sina, Antonio, Anna at Rosita upang

pumunta sa isang isla para tuklasin tungkol sa nasabing isla, at nagdadalawang isipang
binata kung sasama sa barkada. Ang islang ito may kalayuan sa kanilang bayan.

Kinabukasan, umalis ng bahay si Miguel nang di nagpapaalam sa kanyang ina at

sumama ito sa kanyang kaibigan. Nang makasakay ang magkakaibigan ay masayang
masaya sila ay nagkukuwentuhan at kita sa kanilang mata angt pagkasabik na
makapunta sa isla. Nang sa kalagitnaan ng dagat ay biglang lumakas ang hangit at
makulimlim ang kalangitan, nabahala si Rosita sa mangyayari. Bumuhos ang ang
malakas na ulan kasabay ng malakas na hangin at matataas na alon na nagsanhi sa
pagtaob ng sinasakyan nilang bangka hanggang sila ay maanod at mawalan ng malay
ang magkakaibigan.

Si Aling Pacita ay nababahala sa kanyang anak, lumusob ito kahit malakas ang buhos
ng ulan, malaks ang hangin at taas ng tubig/tsunami sanhi ng bagyo, makita lang ang
kanyang anak.

Nagising si Miguel sa isla na di nya alam, napaisip sa nangyari nabahala, umiyak at

hindi alam ang gagawin. Nilibot ng binata ang isla upang maghanap ng makakain at
gamit upang sa paggawa ng balsa. Ngunit nanghihina na parang lalagnatin ito,
humanap ng gamot na pwedeng magamit at dun nakita nya ang isang kubo at tumuloy
pansamantala, ginamot ang sarili upang gumaling at sya ay nakatulog.

Lumipas ang ilang araw sa paglilibot at parang nasisiyahan ang binata sa isla. Isang
araw nang magising ito ay may nakita syang isang babae, nilapitan ng binata ang
babae at sila ay nag usap. Hanggang inimbitahan ng dalaga ang binata sa kanilang
tribu, at dito nya nakita ang yaman ng tribu. Namangha at di mapakali kung totoo ang
kanya nakikita. Ipinakilala ng dalaga ang binata nito sa kanilang pinuno at sila ay nag
usap.

Nang magkaayos ay tinulungan nito ang Binata upang makabalik sa kanilang lugar,
bagamat kapalit ng pagtulong nito ay tinulungan din ng binata ang tribu upang makilala
ang kanilang yaman. Nang makabalik sa kanilang bayan, laking gulat nito nang makita
ang pangyayari. Nagtutumbahang puno, sirang mga bahay, patay na mga hayop at
mga tao na nakahandusay sa lupa na wala nang malay. Agad pumunta si Miguel sa
kanilang tahanan at ito ay nasira, di nya mahanap ang kanyang ina at ito’y umiyak ng
umiyak at bumalik ang binata sa isla na umiiyak.

Pagkabalik, umiiyak ito at sinabi ang nangyari sa pinuno at kinausap ito

Inalagaan tinuruan ito sa paggawa ng mga kultura sa sining at mga tradisyon ng tribu,
hanggang sa kinalimutan nito ang lahat ng pangyayari at napabilang na ito sa tribu at
nagkaroon ng pamilya, hanggang sa lumaki ang kanilang populasyon at patuloy na
gumagawa ng kanilang sining at bumuo ng kanilang lipunan.

Hanggang si Miguel na ang nagpapalakad ng kanilang lipunan
