What is CSP ?
Showing students the similarities and differences within their cultural
backgrounds opposed to others students in the classroom that have
differing cultural backgrounds all while providing a safe environment
for students to freely express their culture background.

Importance of CPS ?

Allows students be able to utilize their native culture and

language to positively impact their achievements within
the classroom. It also allows for students to feel safe and
secure within classroom while allowing both students ad
teachers to learn each-others background.

How can we use it in

the classroom?
Classroom and school libraries should have a diverse
selection of books that reflect and honor all diverse
experiences. Students are able to see themselves in the
pages of a book or learn about someone with a different
perspective or background. Switch out activities that are
not culturally inclusive of all students.
