As technology progresses, globalization will be able to serve millions of

people by allowing them to connect globally in various ways. Other countries

take use of this opportunity to spread their culture and products over the world
and merge them into other countries. Cultural imperialism used to be
accomplished by colonizing the target country and forcing them to adopt the
rules and practices that the colonizers desired. That is no longer the case;
with the use of media and globalization, cultural imperialism is much easier to
carry out.

The producer and receiver are the two extremes of the media
spectrum; to be successful, one must participate in both. Globalization and
the media are used by Western countries to propagate their culture; yet,
countries with a stronger link to their culture due to history and tradition
oppose integration. Despite its acknowledgement and impact throughout time,
these countries' opposition thwarts the realization of cultural imperialism. Also,
the shift is dependent on the individuals who receive it; if they have more
entrenched views, it is unlikely to be broken.National identity is difficult to alter
only via the use of media; it needs a number of elements to be considered
before it can be achieved. Furthermore, media and globalization are not the
product of imperialism; rather, they are a kind of self-determination in which a
country builds its culture via the use of media. They contribute to the
enhancement and spread of national culture by integrating elements from
many cultures to create a better version of it. People prefer to search for
alternatives when a country does not manufacture quality items, thus they turn
to Western products that are more comparable. To compete, they must
develop better or equivalent quality products.

In conclusion, media and globalization have varied effects on national

culture; yet, they are insufficient to generate cultural imperialism rather than
cultural dominance towards themselves. Their motivating forces must be
weak, and taking into account other elements may help them achieve their
goals. As a result, one's culture must be strengthened in order to prevent
further problems. countries from gaining hegemony. Every country must use
media and globalization to promote and develop its culture, as well as form
relationships with other countries in order to assist each other progress.
