[SHORTENED TITLE UP TO 50 CHARACTERS] 2
In the classroom technology can be a super resource for students and teachers. Students
these days will have an answer to a question right at their fingertips forever, they will always
have a computer, cell phone tablet to access and look things up. Why not teach them how to
effectively use technology? As teachers we are supposed to be getting children ready for the real
world and technology is a huge part of the real world. Making teaching about and with
technology almost vital. We should be embracing technology and teaching students how to
responsibly use it. Students love it and we should use it to our advantage. Though, moderation
needs to be taught to students. Students need to learn how to communicate and do other hands-on
work that is not on the computer as well, based on research there are negative effects of too
much technology and teachers and students should be aware of what these are and how to avoid
Students can use it for research projects, math problems that are going to peak their
interests (students know what cool things are out there, too much pen and paper will not hold
their attention), They can also use apps to work on handwriting believe it or not. They make
styluses that can write on tablets and computer screens so the students will get the pencil in hand
practice.
Teachers can use technology to make their lessons more attention grabbing, unique and
interesting to the students. They can use it to be more organized with their lesson plans, students'
data, and planning. They can get new and improved lesson plans for the students as well.
You don’t need to put students on a computer or tablet all day to give them skills and exposure to
the several types of technology and how to use them. All students' need access to technology and
In summary, I believe;
1. I believe students should be able to use technology in moderation as long as they thrive using
it.
2. I believe teachers should use student interests when using technology in the classroom.
3. I believe all students should have access to technology regardless of their financial status,
ethnicity or origin.
