WHAT IS ERUDITES?
Derived from Latin Eruditus meaning "educated", or "knowledgeable" through devotion to
learning, the word erudite is used to describe someone who has great knowledge and
someone who is learning.
Kinda lame, I know... BUT you know what? It's good to invest yourself in the themes and
whatnot before designing stuff just to get into the zone. ^-^
Anyways...
I continued my research to find out the things that can represent "knowledge".
1. Tree
2. Owl
3. Lightbulb
4. Wolf
5. Feather
6. Brain
They are all pretty predictable and basic, which CAN be good.
Predictable also means familiarity which translates to intuitiveness. Meaning to say that
people can easily grasp the meaning behind the logo at one glance.
However, I thought Wolf, Feather, and Tree is a bit vague, so they're out of the list.
The lightbulb, on the other hand, is clear enough. But, I don't exactly like its aesthetics.
And a brain is just too hard for me to draw. (a.k.a I have no idea how to make a logo out of a
brain)
It's intuitive since owls have always been associated with knowledge and wisdom, I love its
aesthetics AND most importantly, I CAN DRAW A FRICKIN OWL.
Second, my vibe would be the CLASSIC CREST AESTHETICS. The ones with a lot of details like
these (cuz I'm extra like that) ↓↓↓↓
The third, I cannot decide. Because as I've told ya before, I CANNOT DO TYPOGRAPHY. I
mean. I can do it, I'm just not good at it.
So if you're interested in my logo, just know that I'm up for suggestions and criticism.
With all of those things cleared up, I finally started developing the logo!

This is not an end product, mind you. It's a mere suggestion. A decided suggestion. Things can
be changed and tweaked still~
You know this one already. Symbolizes knowledge. What we seek in our journey as students.
To become an "erudite" individual.
Historically, wings on logos symbolize freedom, creativity, and speed. On that note, open
wings represent our willingness to accept, ie; open-mindedness.
It shows that we are willing to learn and gain more, and as the wings spread, so does our
knowledge.
You can also tell that birds are in this stance when they're about to fly. We are like the bird,
ready to fly, just needed one last push and we're off to the sky!
The Circles
A circle in a logo can mean two things. Completion or Community. Here, both are applicable.
The circle symbolizes how we complete each other as a batch.
We are not perfect so we became helpful to each other and grow together as a community.
Parallel to our leader's vision of being a family.
Stars are often associated with excellence. It's three, one for each IB core element (CAS, TOK,
and EE) as my wish for us all to frickin survive all three of those with EXCELLENCE.
The Slogan
Latin motto was included solely for the aesthetics (guilty as charged) but I did find a slogan
that I find really nice sounding and have a nice meaning.
Our hope to fly high (literally and figuratively) together in the future
The owl head is actually a mirrored letter "E" for Erudites hehe.
(that was actually my attempt at typography in prev version. But I included it here because I
thought it looked cool <3)
EXTRA FEATURES
Versatility: I purposely made the logo black. This is good for future usage. If y'all wanna make
merch, later on, you can change the color to your liking based on the merch design.
Uniqueness: (I hope so) The Owl Head design is actually pretty unique in that it can be a logo
on its own. If you want to make anything where the logo would be small and not much detail
could be seen, just slap the owl head onto the thing and you're good to go
THAT'S ALL FROM ME, THANKIE
