Week 11 Homework 1

This article mentions and describes how first-generation college students go about their

days. They describe 16 cases of successful FGCS in order to see what makes them so successful.

This is important because of the demand for labor and expectations for the newer generations.

They use multiple studies to support their claim. One of the key features of this article is how

categorized certain sections of the articles are. They give the reader an easier experience and

makes the article a lot more legible. I very much relate to this article because I’m a

first-generation college student myself. I very much agree with the article and how it is very

important for these first-generation college students to succeed in life. I would probably like to

read more on the sources that the article used.
