Filipinos.

Spanish regime considered only those who were full-blood Spanish born in the colony in the
Philippines. They were labelled as the insulares and so were called Filipinos in the colonial era

One can be called Filipino when they were born in the Philippines and gradually the natives were 1
called as such as the Spanish needed a term to refer them aside from being called indios, which wasa
general term for the captured native populace
