Goals
1. Present memories of past and present students and alumni that provides
an immersive and educational experience encapsulating the history of
Carrollton High’s Performing Art program.
2. Reimagine new ways to show off the photographs, murals, and
performance information in a cohesive narrative of the Mabry Center’s
evolution and the connection between past and present.
3. Utilize the expansive collection of objects at the Mabry Center.
4. Create a sense of community and legacy.
 This project focuses on adding new
elements within the Mabry Center at Mabry Center
Carrollton High School. The new design Revitalization
elements will be put into place to give the Project
space a museum-like feel to continue the
theme of legacy. The Revitalization will
proceed in Five Phases:

(1) Addition of a Glass Display Case

(2) Organization of a Photo Timeline
(3) Updates to the Heritage Gallery
(4) Creation of a Mabry Database Carrollton High School
(5) Updates to the Foyer Prop Displays Partnered with the

Glass Display Case: Will hold and
display the trophies won by the
Performing Arts Program along with
small props, costumes, and programs
or play bills from previous shows.
Will also correlate to the the photo
timeline.
Photo Timeline: A connected series
of photos from previous
performances organized by year
along a Carrollton-gold timeline
leading from the entrance to the
Murals at the end of each hall.
Props: Will include a panel with
more information about the history
and former use of each prop. Props
get rotated out to showcase the wide
collection, as well as the addition of
mannequins or clothing displays to
showcase the various costumes
within the collection.
Heritage Gallery: A revamp of the
space that will include a new name,
exhibition of student work, and
highlight the current mural for
visitors to interact with at the Mabry
Center.
Mabry Database: A searchable
database of past shows, featuring
cast and crew lists, scans of programs
and cast/performance photos, will
allow alumni to fondly recall their
contributions to the program and
providing an avenue for younger
generations to interact with the
100-year legacy of the Carrollton
High School Performing Arts
Program.
