In this assignment, we can explain non-verbal


communication with the help of a video whose link is
also given above.
There are different types of non-verbal
communication that are given below:

1-Facial expressions
2-Gestures
3-Proximity
4-Touch
5-Eye contact
6-Appearance

1- Facial Expressions:
This is One of the most common type of nonverbal
communication . Using the eyebrows, mouth, eyes and
facial muscles to convey emotion or information can be
very effective. Example: Someone might raise their
eyebrows and open their eyes widely if they feel
surprised.
In the above image, the face of Dog is showing a non-
verbal facial expression. In this image, Dog is suffering
from some trouble. The facial expression of Dog is
indicating that he is suffering with pain.

2- Gestures:
A gesture is a form of non-verbal communication
in which visible bodily actions communicate messages,
either in place of speech or together and in parallel
with spoken words. Gestures include movement of the
hands, face, or other parts of the body.
This image is representing a Gesture of Tom. In this
image, the body of Tom is showing that he is trying to
Capture jerry with his hands.
It further shows Tom want to beat jerry therefore he is
trying to capture jerry.
3- Proximity
Proximity is communicated, for instance, using
space, distance, touching, and body position. The use
of space, the physical distance between people, and
the options for touch are closely related and culture
specific.

This image is indicating a proximity of Tom and Dog.


Tom and Dog are looking in two different situations.
Tom disturbing dog because he has a distance between
him and dog . Dog is unable to capture Tom.
4- Touch:
Touch is our primary non-verbal communication
channel for conveying intimate emotions and as
such essential for our physical and emotional
wellbeing. In our digital age, human social
interaction is often mediated.
In this image, we found an expression of non-verbal
communication known as Touch. Here touch
expression shows that Jerry helped the Dog by
removing the pain in his foot. They are shaking
hands to become friends.

5- Eye Contact:
Eye contact is what happens when two people look at
each other's eyes at the same time. This is a form of
nonverbal communication that humans use to
communicate many forms of emotions. Unlike other
primates, we can easily see where humans are looking
because of the amount of white surrounding our irises.

Jerry eye contact , is showing that he is seeing at the


cake with excitement and wanted to eat the cake.
His eyes have love for cake.

6- Appearance:
Personal Appearance is the types of nonverbal
communication we use to adorn our bodies and
surroundings to communicate meaning to others.
Consider your preferences for hairstyle, clothing,
jewellery, and automobiles, as well the way you
maintain your body.
In this image, we see a non-verbal expression known as
appearance . Here Tom is looking strange in a red
dress.
Tom is looking at his dress with fearful eyes.
