I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students can:
a. Explain the four types of speech delivery
b. Give each meaning and
c. Give examples of each type of speech delivery
III. Procedure
Teacher Students
“Good morning, class” Good morning, ma’am
“Let us pray first, please all stand. Who will (One student volunteer to lead a prayer)
lead the prayer?” “Let’s bow down our head and close our
eyes,
“Our father…. Amen”
“Okay, may you take your seat and as I call All: Present
your name say present” (Roll call)
“Very good!”
“Good to hear, so for today, are you ready “Yes ma’am, we are ready!”
for the activity?
“So, I will divide you into four, let’s count (The students starting to count off)
off!”
“For the group one, give the meaning of
impromptu speaking and give me at least 3
examples of impromptu. For the group 2,
they will give the meaning and 3 examples
of extemporaneous speaking. Group 3, you
will a speaking from manuscript and for the
last group, you will have a speaking from
memory.”
(The students go to their group)
“I will give you 10 minutes to finish your
group activity and go to your group now.
The time starts now!”
(After 10 minutes)
Group 3 &4: No ma’am.
“Okay, are you done?”
(The students pass their group activity).
“Finish or not, pass your activity so that we
can start our discussion.”
Teacher Students
“Okay, based on your group activity, any (Yanna raises her hand)
idea what is our topic for today? Anyone?”
“Yes, Miss Fernandez” “Our topic for today ma’am is, type of
speech delivery”
“Exactly, that is our topic for today”
“There are four types of speech delivery, (Vera raises her hand)
what are those?”
V. Evaluation:
1. Give 1 example of impromptu speaking.
2. What is extemporaneous in your own idea?
3. Give at least 2 types of speech.
VI. Assignments:
For your assignment, give an example of each type of speech delivery.
