1. Check that the kit has all the parts as listed in the above table.
Installation 2. Check each part in the kit for scratches or any form of damage.
for 3. Park the vehicle in a level place on its center stand.
4. Remove the ignition key from the switch and stre it in a safe place.
Installation 5. Protect any items removed or to be installed from scratches by placing them ou a soft cloth first
before putting them on the ground.
6. Use care not to cause any damage to the body of the vehicle during installation of the acces-
sory.

7 WARNING
Installation Do not work by using side stand. Jack up the motorcycle with fork stand and swing arm stand, and
fix it for safety.
Make sure that the motorcycle is supported securely.
To avoid getting burned, do not touch the engine, radiator and exhaust system until they have cooled.

1. Remove the under cowling, rear under cowling and rear under cowling bracket. Rear under
cowling and rear under cowling bracket is not reused.
2. Remove the horn and unscrew the bolts used for radiator mounting in order to remove the
exhaust system.

CAUTION
Be careful not to bend the radiator fin and the oil cooler fin.

3. Remove the exhaust pipe and muffler.

4. Install center stand stopper bolt (3) to the frame
by nut (11) to the specified torque of 50 N.m (5.0
kg-m, 36.0 lb-ft).

5. Install center stand spring hook (2) to the frame

by tightening to the specified torque of 35 N¥m
(3.5 kg-m, 25.5 lb-ft).

6. Apply grease on the outer surface of spacers

(4) and insert the spacers into the pivots of cen-
ter stand (1).

7. Install center stand (1) to the frame by tighten-

ing left side center stand mounting bolt (7) to the
specified torque of 73 N.m (7.3 kg-m, 53.0 lb-ft).

8. Insert small center stand spring (9) into large

center stand spring (10).

9. Hook the springs (9) (10) to center stand spring

hook (2) and to hook of center stand (1), and
then apply grease to the hooks and the both ends
of springs. Check the center stand for smooth
movement.

10. Fit center stand cushion (8) under the left side
muffler.

11. Remove the existing bank sensor bolts and in-

stall the bank sensor bolts (5) to the specified
torque of 23 N.m (2.3 kg-m, 16.5 lb-ft).

NOTE: IF K1 model, go to No.16.

IF K2~ model, go to No.12.
12. Remove the muffler exhaust pipe and joint pipe.
13. Remove the clamp, invert its direction and fit
again.

14. Match the notch of the clamp and claw of the

joint pipe.
15. Assemble the exhaust pipe, joint pipe and muf-
fler.

NOTE: For All models.

16. Reinstall the exhaust pipe and the muffler.
17. Fix the radiator by mounting bolts.
18. Reinstall the horn.

19. Reinstall the under cowling. At this time, since

the rear under cowling is not used, change the
under cowling bracket with the one of accessory
parts (6) from the existing one.

• Apply grease to the spring hooks periodically.
