December 15

Kaiya Kroutil
Freshmen Representative

Position Assessment: Throughout half of December I have been able to accomplish

many things. The freshmen team was in charge of running warm and fuzzy week and
was able to accomplish everything that was needed to be completed beforehand and
during the event. We have also been working on designing posts, ordering decorations,
and preparing for winterfest. The freshmen representatives came up with a theme of
BeReal and have been working really hard to come up with creative posts and designs
to make something unique.

Standing Committee: Throughout December, there haven't been any opportunities for
me to join any standing committees.

Special Committee: Although I haven't had too many opportunities for standing
committees I have been able to participate in setting and cleaning up the Warm and
Fuzzy week night rally. Along with helping set up all the trees and games for the rally.

Mentorship Evaluation: Emily has been a great mentor to me throughout December.

She has been a really big help when filling out paperwork and forms that I need to fill
out. I have always been able to depend on her if I need help or someone to talk to.

Concerns: One big concern I have is that the work is not distributed evenly between
the freshmen. I feel that I always end up doing all the work. For example, I asked if
anyone wanted to do a procedure form, since I have already done one and many other
forms, and every person I asked said they didn't want to or just said I could do it. I feel
that they want to be a part of the events but don't want to step up and do some of the
dirty work.

Positive Comment: Looking more on the positive side I think that so far we’ve been
able to accomplish things more efficiently and start matching the energy of the other
class officers. I have also seen more people helping out our freshmen reps which has
had a really big impact on us.

One Change: One change I would like to see is more urgency from everyone to help
out with some of the busy work and forms for events.

My Impact: For my impact I would say stepping up as a leader of the group even when
I was gone for a while and getting things done on time and efficiently. I feel that I have
made a big impact on the other freshmen and has been able to direct them to step up
also.
