Duplex  / Triplex VR –
the standard solution for
central vacuum supply.
Duplex / Triplex VR are the compact Busch
vacuum systems consisting of two (Duplex)
or three (Triplex) R 5 RA 0302 D rotary
vane vacuum pumps. They are perfectly
suited for vacuum supply for thermoforming
packaging machines.
The autonomously operating switch and
control unit is extremely user-friendly. To
prevent excessive network load, the rotary
vane vacuum pumps are switched on with
soft starters. The first R 5 RA 0302 D starts
immediately; the remaining vacuum pumps
are switched on as soon as the previous
vacuum pump finishes starting up.
Duplex / Triplex VR vacuum systems can
be easily installed (plug & pump) and set
up as a central vacuum supply without
requiring installation directly at workstations.
This reduces noise in the work place, thus
improving working conditions. Heat emission
in cooled production and packaging areas
is also avoided, which reduces energy con-
sumption for air conditioning in those spaces.
The installation outside of the production
area also has positive effects for maintenance,
as such work will not result in interruptions
to operational processes or negative effects
on hygiene. The vacuum system can con-
tinue functioning in partial-load operation
while maintenance work is performed, so
production does not have to be interrupted.

perfectly synchronized components and
materials. The constantly high vacuum

level in continuous operation is ensured by

recirculating oil lubrication and state-of-
the-art precision manufacturing. A sophis-
ticated oil separator ensures efficient use
of oil. A non-return valve in the inlet
flange prevents the pumped medium from

are driven by a directly flange mounted
standard electric motor, with an efficiency
class of IE3. In addition to the R 5 rotary vane
